Beta Alanine is an amino acid which combines with the amino acid histidine after being consumed by the body. These two amino acids then make carnosine. The main function of carnosie is to buffer the hydrogen ions in the muscles. The buffering of the hydrogen ions prevents that the pH-value of the muscles drops and that the acidity in the muscles incrases. In other words: Weider Beta Alanine allows for a more intense workout with heavier weights and more repetitions!
